About a year ago Larry and I posted that we were writing a book together.  We have successfully self published the book “Branded – A Tony Simons Series,” the first in a three part series. It is a work of fiction, based on a true story. It is now available in Canada at McNally Robinson and on Amazon!

Here is a sample:

Prologue
Tony was walking to the train station with a determination that was new to him. It was a bright, sun shiny fall day and as he walked he could hear the crunch of leaves under his feet. Since his focus was getting to the train station, he paid no attention to the traffic or to the people walking past him.
Tony started to think about why he was here and what had brought him to this point in his life at 19 years old.
It was like snapshots of a bad movie playing over and over again in his head, fade in, fade out.
Blood all over him and not all his own, children screaming and women with terror-stricken looks in their eyes, fade out.
Six thugs bringing him to the ground to beat the hell out of him just because they wanted his cigarettes, fade out.
“You’re Dick’s kid aren’t you?” Then he sees himself beating him to the ground with hate in his eyes, fade out.
“They call me Timber” fade out.
“Get on your bike and leave now!” as the bloody battle raged on all around him, fade out.
Racing his Harley down the QEW at 100mph with tears in his eyes, fade out.
Faces, faces, faces, fade out.
Tony bumped into an older lady; he had not been looking where he was going and it brought him back to reality. He apologized. She smiled and said it was ok and moved on.
He had been looking at his life to this moment. It was just a bad movie that was about to end. He felt the freedom in his hand as he gripped his travel orders tightly.”

We hope you enjoyed the teaser!  The second book in the series, “Conquer the Hill” will be available within the next couple of months.
